All our Nursing Assistants are responsible for organising activities and entertainment at Queens Lodge. They keep a profile of every resident which details their hobbies, likes and dislikes and physical ability, amongst other things and they arrange regular, well-attended residents' meetings. The minutes from these meetings, together with the activity profiles, enable us to adapt our activity programme to ensure that it is conducive to residents' wishes and preferences.

In addition to activities, the Nursing Assistants formulate questionnaires to ascertain residents' wishes and abilities for other services at Queens Lodge, for example our menus. They are always available for individual consultation with residents and can assist with arrangements for religious services and maintaining contact with relatives and friends at each resident's request.

A large selection of DVD movies is available to watch at any time on request and can be viewed on the 19" flat screen television with built-in DVD player which is provided in the resident's bedroom.

A large library of both printed and audio books is available for your enjoyment and regular sessions are organised for residents to select and listen to audio books.
